College of Industrial Technology’s (CIT) Mechatronics Technology President Hans Matthew Santiago expressed hopes for high enrollees under the program for the next academic year after receiving crafted trifold brochures yesterday, March 10, 2025, at the CIT Building, San Isidro Campus.
In a turnover ceremony spearheaded by the TSU – Communicators’ Guild, President Santiago mentioned the chance to be seen and the struggles faced within the program.
“Isa po talaga sa goal namin in Mechatronics is to be recognized, kasi kumbaga masyado siyang namamaliit. And ayun nga po, hindi lang siya basta basta, hindi siya hulugan kapag bumagsak sa ibang course—kung baga, second chance sya for something great,” said Santiago.
Marigold Compass Agency Director Christian Justin Tañedo and Calmeur Media Creative Director Jester Rale Atendido left a message for Mechatronics Technology, delivered by Comm Guild Hosting Head and Representative Dean Mhar Madriaga.
The message acknowledged the opportunity in promoting the program across the university and the whole province. Marigold Agency also encouraged future students in choosing the program, highlighting its wide range of opportunity and contribution in society.
Additionally, Calmeur Media expressed gratitude, emphasizing the collective efforts of both parties in creating the brochure, quoting “May this partnership foster many more projects for both departments.”
Similarly, on behalf of their course instructor in Advertising Principles and Practices, Ms. Liana Faith De Leon, Comm Guild Executive on Records Conrad Simon exclaimed that partnership projects should go beyond academic purposes.
Moreover, in an interview with Mechatronics Technology Facilitating Faculty, Mr. JL Christian Mangrobang, he noted the opportunities given by the partnership and the chance to be known inside the university.
“Mao-open kami for dissemination, for career opportunity, job opportunity, lalo na sa mga product natin—mga students,” said Mr. Mangrobang
“Hopefully, more partnership, so hindi na kami ‘yung parang feeling nila ay hindi priority program na course. Hopefully, sana ganoon ang maging message nitong turnover ceremony,” he added.
Meanwhile, Comm Guild Executive on Audit John Aris Gabriel delivered the closing remarks, underlining the advantage of handed communication materials in helping students to recognize the program.
“Actually, hindi ko alam na may nag-eexist na ganito [Mechatronics Technology] sa TSU, not until now. And upon reading the contents of the communication materials, doon ko na-realize kung gaano kalawak ang sakop ng inyong program. I think this activity will start your identity, hindi lang sa TSU, kundi across the Philippines,” Gabriel stated.
Mechatronics Technology was the only department to receive two communication materials as part of the Advertising Principles and Practicing course of the senior Communication students in the College of Arts and Social Sciences.
