Tarlac State University's (TSU) Department of Communication under the College or Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) ended their enrollment period last August 15, tallying an estimate of 700 students for Academic Year 2025 - 2026.

The Department carried out enrollment across six nonconsecutive days beginning July 31, accommodating students from all year levels as well as shifters, transferees, and returning students.

Moreover, Communicators' Guild President Lois Quinocho noted that the enrollment scheduled was split into several days due to prior commitments inside the department.

“Nag-start naman po agad; however, dahil sa internship commitments na kailangang asikasuhin, kaya kinailangang hatiin yung schedules [ng enrollment.]”

Pres Quinocho also shared that committees were established to disseminate task and to ensure smoother process for the enrollment.

Meanwhile, Mark Alyson Madriaga, faculty from the Comm Department mentioned that grade-related concerns were possible problems faced during the enrollment.

"Yung usual hindrances lang is incomplete 'yung grades nila...tapos meron silang pre-requisite. Kasi, hindi mo mati-take 'yung kailangan mong i-take not unless maayos mo siya," Madriaga said.
"Kasi, pag may INC ka, tapos end na yung completion period, singko na yun," he added.

Additionally, third-year enrollee Angela Grace Tabuno shared her take as the new academic year draws near.

"As a student po mediyo kinakabahan po ako and sa paghahanda naman po reading-ready naman po ako this a.y," she said.

According to TSU's First Semester Collegiate Academic Calendar, tomorrow, August 18, marks the opening of classes for Acad. Year ’25 – ’26.
