A seminar on Visual Communication titled ‘COMMpose and Expose,’ organized by BA Communication - 4B’s Team 8, took place last March 25, at Smith Hall’s Theater Room, TSU Main Campus.
The event tackled the power of image by elaborating on how to tell a story visually through color and emotion, how to create effective visual through successful ad campaign, and the influence of media visuals on political propaganda.
Ms. Jenifer Bernardo, Instructor I from the College of Architecture and Fine Arts, served as the resource speaker. She emphasized the significance of Visual Communication in fostering understanding among individuals.
“Napaka-importante ng VisComm because it was invented ng mga naunang tao for us to communicate with, kasi in the absence of VisComm, kahit anong form yan, basta walang process ng VisComm, ‘di tayo magkakaintindihan,” Ms. Bernardo stated.
She further elaborated that various forms of Visual Communication, such as drawings, songs, films, and even prehistoric cave paintings, all serve as essential tools for communication.
“It all boils down do’n sa process pa rin para magkaintindihan yung mga tao,” Ms. Jenifer stressed.
The seminar, which served as an educational event discussing Visual Communication’s history, importance, and purpose, was prepared by Team 8 members Aira Francisco, Katrina Patdu, Jemelle Salvador, Romel Reyes, and Krista Dela Cruz.
