COESSE - TSU Psychological Society successfully concluded Mental Health Summit 2025 on October 10, at the Tarlac State University Gymnasium, Main Campus, attended by psychmates, bhumates, various organizations, and faculty members.

With this year's theme "Kamay ng Lingap sa Panahon ng Sakuna, Tulay sa Katatagan ng Sarili at Kapwa" the event focused on the relevance and importance of giving attention to mental health during disasters.

Wearing their color-coded outfits, attendees filled the venue with vibrant shades of green, yellow, and brown. They were kept entertained by various events including interactive games, prizes, intermission numbers, and booths.

During the afternoon session, third- and fourth-year Psych and HumServ students attended a mental health-related workshop of their choice, which was held at different venues while the Project Lakas at Lingap Art exhibit was also held at the TSU Gymnasium.

Dr. Jazmin Joy E. Dizon RCG, RPm, CHMFR, CHRA, CTSP, faculty member of Psych and HumServ Dept. and program chairperson of B Human Services, served as the event's speaker. She emphasized the importance of positive reframing by comparing it to a camera and its lens.

"Why I chose the camera is because when it comes to resilience, one important skill na pwede natin gamitin is yung tinatawag na positive reframing [...] When you say positive reframing, from the word itself— reframing. You know how to reframe situations," Dr. Dizon stated.
"Pag may problema may tendency na nana-narrow down ang ating nakikita, ang nakikita natin ay yung problema. Pero when it comes to positive reframing, we are able to look at different sides... So with that makikita mo na there's a bigger picture behind what is happening," she added.

Meanwhile, in an interview with COESSE president Alexanndra Santiago, she expressed her gratitude and pride in the collective efforts behind the event.

"All I can say po is I am very proud of COESSE. This is all COESSE and our partners' efforts. Lahat ito, lahat ito naggaling sa mga puso ng lahat ng mga officers," she said.

The summit also featured Lipad ng Katatagan, a parade of kites and banners presented by various organizations, each carrying meaningful symbolisms. In addition, second-year Psychology students showcased advocacy videos under the Sinekolohiya segment and conducted an outreach program.

The Mental Health Summit 2025 served as a meaningful celebration of awareness and unity, reaffirming TSU and CASS commitment in promoting mental well-being.
