COESSE – The TSU Psychological Society facilitated energetic Psych Games during the “Aslag: Psychology Days 2025” hosted last April 24, 2025 (THURSDAY) at the Laboratory School Court, TSU Lucinda Campus.
This event aims to promote mental health awareness and to provide a platform for Psychology students to engage in various physical and fun activities while nurturing a strong sense of community within the department.
Psychmates engaged in various games grouped into four teams, namely Green Psyrvecio, Yellow Team Integrity, Blue psychxcellence, and Red Scorching Phoenix, which were inspired by the department’s core values—Integrity, Passion, Excellence, and Service (IPES).
The groups participated in a total of four games: Balloon Pop Relay, Back 2 Back (Pass the Drawing), Psychtopus, and Tug of Freeze. They also hyped the crowd during their yell and song presentation and flag making. Among the four teams, the Red Scorching Phoenix bagged the championship title.
Several first-year students also shared their insights during the Psych Games 2025. In a discussion with Madellaine Concepcion from 1-1 Eve, she stated, “Masaya po kasi nagkaroon ako ng opportunity na maka-interact sa iba’t ibang tao…and naka-bonding ko ‘yung mga kaklase ko.”
Participant Irysh Marcelo from Yellow team Integrity mentioned how she felt as a leader from one of the groups: “At first, akala ko boring, pero masaya pala sya kasi may pera—may prize, kaya rin ako sumali. Nasubukan ang pagiging leader, ang saya kapag nakakabuo ka ng isang team with your own knowledge,” she said.
Moreover, Ms. Kyra Rosheena David, President of COESSE, extended her acknowledgment and gratitude to its officers and members, to the College Publication – The Oracle, and to Dean Aloysius Madriaga for the guidance and success of the event.
“Masaya kasi nakita naman namin kahit pagod na pagod sila tsaka nangasugat-sugat sila, nag-enjoy naman siguro sila. Kaya ayun, masaya kasi kahit nakakapagod, na-enjoy din naman yung event,” she said.
She also left a message to the Psychmates: “Sana nag-enjoy sila kahit papaano kasi baka second to the last event na rin namin to. Yung event kasi namin sa term namin ay next month. Last na lang yun so sana nag-enjoy sila, pati ng the whole duration ng term namin, sana nag-enjoy sila sa mga activities.”
Despite the extreme heat, the fun and cheerful activities proceeded smoothly at the laboratory school court after the event was moved from the Lucinda Campus open field and rescheduled from 8 am to 3 pm.
