Representing the university on the international stage, Francis Paul C. Austin, a second-year communication student from Tarlac State University - College of Arts and Social Sciences and the Executive Assistant on Finance of the Supreme Student Council, took part in the 12th Asian Youth Leaders Travel and Learning Camp (AYLTLC) held in Singapore from February 13-17, 2025.

Several TSU student leaders were recognized for their outstanding achievements and contributions during the event, with Austin receiving the Most Engaging Award for his exceptional involvement.

The event aimed to engage student leaders in cross-cultural collaboration, enhance their leadership skills, and build meaningful connections with fellow participants from various countries.

Representing CASS and TSU on the international stage was still a big surprise. The training camp wasn’t just an experience that came and went—it became a lasting part of me. For a brief yet meaningful moment, I traveled with full aspirations, engaging in leadership roles alongside strangers who eventually became friends and family,” Austin said.

“With the proudest feeling of accomplishment, knowing that I achieved something for both our university and myself, I want more—and I will definitely do more,” he added.

Austin was joined by five other TSU representatives across various colleges, including student leaders from the College of Architecture and Fine Arts, College of Business and Accountancy, College of Computer Studies, College of Science, and College of Public Administration and Governance.

During learning sessions, participants engaged in lectures led by international speakers from the National University of Singapore, covering topics such as Large Language Models, Singapore’s Urban Development, Energy Use, The World as a Single Society, AI and Smart Living, and Village Lessons for City Living.

Atty. Gherold C. Benitez, Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Services, joined the student delegation and supervised the participants throughout the event.
