Team 2 of BA Communication 4B led a commanding stage with their seminar themed, "1, 2, 3, Action! A Seminar on Managing and Communicating on Set," held yesterday, March 11, at the Theater Room, Smith Hall Building, TSU Main Campus.
The seminar tackled effective techniques of leadership on improving communication and strengthening the collaboration of team which is important on set.
“Every actor works differently, so a good director adapts to an actors’ style to help them improve or perform their best,” team member Pia Yambao stated on her lecture.
Meanwhile, guest speaker, Director Mx. Moy Tiglao, discussed about the qualities of a good director when filming.
Director Tiglao shared that, "pag kayo ang [naging] director, please have patience, maging mabait kayo sa lahat ng kasama niyo on set, hindi niyo kasi alam kung sino magdadala sa inyo pagdating ng araw, hindi niyo alam kung sinong magbibigay sainyo ng trabaho, ang pinakamaganda na mai-offer niyo sa kanila is to have a kind heart.”
He also set the stage for an acting workshop, allowing the attending Communication students to showcase their talent in theatre acting by playing different characters with the same dialogue.
Furthermore, in his closing remarks, he advised the students to always do their best even outside the set.
"Parati niyong gagalingan, parati kayong lalaban,” Director Tiglao said.
The seminar, featuring the speakers from BA COMM 4B, Tasha Vitudio, Kyla Viuya, Pia Yambao, Gerald Valdez, and Angela Perdanio, concluded with the awarding of certificate of appreciation to the guest speaker and the participants.
