AB COMM - 2C successfully commenced the turnover of Information, Education, and Communication materials with partner organizations: Land and Transportation Office and Tarlac Disaster and Risk Reduction Management (DRRM), held last May 19, at the Theater Room, Smith Hall Building, Tarlac State University (TSU) Main Campus.

Guided by faculty-in-charge Mr. Derich Bognot, the event marked a huge step in producing developments and ensuring a better line of public awareness through communication.

Divided into two groups, students have presented diverse types of communication tools, like leaflets, posters, tarpaulins, informative stickers, and video commercials, which are centered in promoting a calm and effective approach to disaster awareness and road safety.

Representative of Tarlac DRRM, Christine Florendo, expressed deep gratitude towards the efforts of the students to help in improving the community.

“We are not after the glory or praise, pero masarap sa pakiramdam. With all the visual aids and work nila, na pwede naming i-share sa mga tao, I’m very, very thankful,” Florendo stated.

Recognizing the efforts and contributions of partners, organization, and representative, the class also awarded certificates of appreciation during the event. The said event highlighted the significance of effective communication in promoting disaster preparedness, road safety, and community resilience.
