Ravenclaw claims Gold in Basketball men's division, 2-0, on the second day of palaCASSan 2024 at Tibag Sports Center, Yesterday, November 25.


Ravenclaw managed to overpower Gryffindor in the Championship round, 71-61.


Ravenclawโ€™s team captain, Jearld Quizon, expressed his excitement and pride after leading his team to victory.


โ€œSyempre po masaya dahil sulit lahat ng pagod at nagenjoy kaming lahat,โ€ Quizon said.


Moreover, he shares that their winning strategy is unity in defense.


From the opening tip-off to the final buzzer, Ravenclaw's defense was a fortress. Their teamwork on the court ensured that Hufflepuff will not gain their momentum.


The intensity of the match reached a boiling point in the second quarter when Hufflepuff's team captain, John Carl Mejia, and Ravenclaw's Palarca found themselves in a heated exchange.


However, both players quickly resolved the issue, demonstrating sportsmanship and focusing on the game.


Despite the loss, Hufflepuff walked away with silver, with team captain Mejia reflecting positively on their performance.


โ€œMasaya naman po kaming lahat sa nakuha namin na award, deserve din naman po ng mga Ravenclaw yung gold and na appreciate po namin as a team lahat ng effort na binuhos po namin sa game,โ€ Mejia said.


Meanwhile, in the battle for the bronze medal, Slytherin edged out Gryffindor, showing resilience and tactical skill to secure the third the spot.


With impressive play and performance, Ravenclaw added another gold to their collection, cementing their place among the top teams of the basketball PalaCASSan 2024.
