Student Affairs and Services (SAS) Director Prof. Gherold Benitez highlights the different services offered by Tarlac State University to its students during the opening program of the SAS Week: Isang Linggong Pag-Ibig earlier yesterday, February 14, at the TSU gymnasium.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Benitez played the song โBridge Over Troubled Waterโ to summarize the role of SAS in the TSU student body, quoting that โlike a bridge over troubled water,โ SAS will โease your mind.โ
โNandito ang TSU para sa mga estudyanteng gustong magtagumpay sa buhay,โ Prof. Benitez said.
Furthermore, Prof. Benitez uniquely introduced the different services under SAS through a guessing game and awarded tote bags and cash prizes to students who guessed the service unit from a song played.
Meanwhile, TSU Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Agnes M. Macaraeg also graced the event, citing that TSU has everything a student needs.
โLahat po ng mga serbisyong pang-estudyante, name it, we have it [โฆ] At the Student Affairs and Services, you got a friend,โ Dr. Macaraeg said.
Tarlac State University President Dr. Arnold E. Velasco, on the other hand, humored the TSU community with his pick-up line, in time for the simultaneous celebration of Heartโs Day.
Dr. Velasco also emphasized the different facets of love and encouraged the students to support the activities prepared by SAS for students.
โMay kasabihan nga, taken ka man daw, backburner, up for confession, healing, may happy crush, in love sa red flag individual, exploring, busy sa adulting, [at] study first, love life later, pero ang tatandaan po natin, ang SAS week na ito ay para sa inyo,โ Dr. Velasco stated.
